TIP GROUP Ambition

We have the ambition to partner with our customers in the electrification of their cold-chain fleet, to make sure in the nearby future Reefers run entirely on renewable electricity.

Brief description on what an E-Reefer is and how it differs to a standard E-Reefer

Within our van category, we have a great selection of refrigerated trailers. This is a great asset to our customers transporting perishable commodities. Cool, frozen, ambient, and protected from freezing are all accommodated.

  • From pups to full length 53' tandem and tridem axle trailers
  • Single, multi, and hybrid temp loads

Electric Reefer solutions with TIP Group

Battery Only

A battery only E-Reefer, is where a battery with charging plug provides the energy to the refrigeration system, similar to a private electric vehicle. Typically, the recharging occurs while the vehicle is stationary, during loading/unloading or when parked. To enable this a three-phase power connection is utilized, commonly found most workshops, DCs or loading/unloading location.

Energy Axle

Energy Recuperation Axle
An energy Axle E-Reefer powers refrigeration system by kinetic energy with a special type of axle that generate energy through regenerative braking. While the vehicle is in motion the energy axle charges the battery which then supply the power toward the refrigeration system.
